Introducing the Bodyweight series - starting with the L-Sit
One area of training I’m especially passionate about is bodyweight training - performing different exercises just using your body. Being able to lift and control your body (against gravity) gives you strength in a way that very few other types of training can, whilst improving your balance and flexibility.
Examples of bodyweight training exercises include all the old school exercises such as press-ups (push-ups), pull-ups and tricep dips, however there are many ways to regress or progress these exercises so anyone from a complete beginner to an advanced-level athlete can get the benefits from this type of training.
I’ve been working with a few clients recently on more intermediate-level exercises so have decided to create a series of video tutorials showing how to achieve these exercises - starting with the L-Sit.
The L-Sit is one of those exercises that look incredibly simple to perform but quite tricky. However, with practice and following all the progressions step-by-step, it’s entirely possible to achieve this fantastic move.
